What do you do?

Much of what I do involves talking with you to sensitively brand and market your work, your project, event or business. Together, we determine its character, tone and visual presentation.

Then, we communicate effectively with your fans, customers or donors, so they can stay in touch, get updates, and be reminded of you.

It can be difficult to ask for support, or talk about yourself and your work! But your audiences want to connect with you. Let’s clarify, refine and present your work at its best, to attract grant funding, patron enthusiasm, individual donors, or customers.

It’s very rewarding to get to know your projects and you - each of my amazing clients.
I love to help artists advance their careers, and to grow nonprofits to their full potential.

Services Offered:

  • At this point I have written probably 100 grants, large and small.

Some for my own artwork, for the large-scale works I’ve made for New Orleans Airlift seen here, for the SFIOP, and for established and emerging artists.

Most recently I have written and been awarded grants for my original programming from the NEA (2023 & 2024), California Arts Council, SF Arts Commission, and the Awesome Foundation’s “On The Water” grant.

In New Orleans, we were awarded national grants from the Gates Foundation, Mapfund, and the New Music foundation. Locally we received grants from the Arts Council and from several local private foundations.

  • In my decade+ of working with arts nonprofits, I have established Patron Circles, created Membership models, and written and conducted many fundraising campaigns. I have also produced several annual gala events & live auctions.

  • I have worked with independent filmmakers, artists, festivals and a toy company, to grow a following & strategize successful campaigns on various platforms.

  • What are you doing and why? Who for? How can you most effectively continue, grow, or shrink? These questions seem simple but they are easy to lose track of in your day to day. Let’s revisit and make a plan!
